Oc: Alice Yumamura
I am not afraid anymore
Standing in the eye of the storm
Ready to face this, dying to taste this, sick sweet warmth
Throwing down the pencil in my hand I let out a tired sigh, resting my head on my hand. Paperwork is not my favorite thing to do. But someone had to get it done, and as the earl of Phantomhive, I put it apon myself to do it. Sebastian was usually here to bring my tea to cheer up my mood but of course he was busy, because we were 'out of tea bags' or 'it's not ready yet.'
A faint click was heard from the door, someone walking in. Speak of the devil. "Someone wishes to see you, young master." Leaning back in my chair, I streched my sore muscles as he bowed politely. "And to whom do I owe this visit?" There was a certain glint in Sebastian's eyes that made me shiver alittle. Is he aquainted with the guest? Standing up straight, he held his hands behind his back.
"Alice Yumamura, young master."
I stood nervously outside the mansion awaiting the raven haired butler to come back. My long, white sundress blew gently with the wind, my hair tied up securely with flowery pins. My nerves were getting to me. It's been forever since I've seen Ciel. We used to be acquaintances as children, but never did he know how my heart has changed. Over the years I've grown fonder of him. But now he's become the earl of the Phantomhive name, and now I am only just another person in London. And especially since now that he's going to be married to Elizabeth...
My heart stopped right then.
I couldn't take this anymore. I had to tell him. Not that he would like me back. I just want him to know how I felt. There's no way that I'll have a chance with him. Just then the door creaked open, Sebastian looking down at me. "Follow me." I nodded shyly, slipping past the large front doors and following down the hall. The mansion looked the same as it always did. Big chandeliers hung from the white ceiling, and the large staircase in the middle of the hall. He led me past the stairs to a solid wood door, first opening it then letting me walk in. "Young master, I have brought her here."
Ciel looked amazing. He was so much older then when I last saw him. His hair was neatly combed, and a black eyepatch covered his right eye (HIS right) Neverthe less, he looked handsome. His blue eye studied me quietly, as if trying to decided who I was. After a few moments, his eyes widened, and he stood up from his chair quickly "Alice?" I smiled gently, nodding happily; he had remembered after all those years.
Was this really Alice? She is nothing like the child I used to know. She had gotten older, more mature looking. She's more...more beautiful. I felt myself heat up at the thought, clearing my throat as I walked toward her. "Sebastian, please let us speak alone." The butler nodded, closing the door behind him as I motioned her to sit. She did as I told her, sitting in the small oak chair by my desk. I looked up at her, folding my hands together as she squirmed in her seat alittle; was she nervous about something? I pushed the thought aside, looking into her eyes. "It's been awhile, Miss Yumamura." She nods. "Please, just call me Alice." "Alright." She smiles and places her hands on her lap, playing with the hem of her dress. She looks up at me "I'm happy that you still remember me, after all this time." She gave me a sad smile. I sighed. "Of course I remember you. I will never forget you." I realized what I had just said. I looked away avoiding her gaze for the moment. I knew I was red and hell did she know it too.
I couldn't hold back the furious blush growing on my cheeks. Did he just...confess? No that couldn't be it. "I'm sorry, it's just that normally I wouldn't forget someone that I've known for so long." My heart dropped alittle, but I forced myself to answer him. "Oh okay! That makes sense." I flashed him a coy smile, hiding the hint of hurt stinging my conscience. "You should come to the ball tonight, Alice." Suprised by his sudden invitation, I looked at him confused. "What ball?" He adjusts in his chair. "Your family should have received your invitations. There is a party being held for the royal families. I would like it if you went with me." Did he just ask me to go with him? But what about Elizabeth? "But what about Lizzy? Your engaged, and I don't want to ruin your reputation with rumors of a secret affair!" Ciel turned pink, fiddling with his hands. "She will forgive me eventually. I wanted to tell you something and tonight would be the he best time. Please meet me at the mansion at 7 pm." I nodded, standing up as Sebastian led me out the door. "I wish you safe travels, Miss Yumamura." Bowing politely, Sebastian smiles, as I wave goodbye and climb into the carriage.
Sebastian arrived into the study soon after, giving me a interested look. "Did you know her, young master?" I sighed, standing up and walking to the door where he stood. "We used to be acquainted as children." "Ah." He opens the door for me, as I walked out into the hall. "The ball is in a few hours. Well need to get ready. " "Yes, young master." In the next 4 hours, Sebastian had gotten me dressed in a black and white suit with a matching navy blue coat, and a nice, decorative top hat. The butlers also set up the decorations, prepared the food, and cleaned the mansion enough to make it look halfway pleasant. It was 6:45, and guests were starting to arrive. Some said a quiet hello, but most passed right by me, most likely looking for friends or waiting for their dates. Which was exactly what I was doing.
Suddenly, the door opened, revealing a beautifully dressed girl like none I've ever seen. She wore a long, blue dress adorned with flowers and small jewels. Her hair was let out of its usual bun, tumbling down her shoulders to her back. Around her neck was a beautiful diamond necklace that shone when the lights hit it. She was beautiful. I didn't even notice her approach me, until she stood right in front of me. "Hello, Ciel." I recognized her voice instantly. "Alice?" She nodded happily. "I kept my promise to come. Did you wait long?" I shoke my head, motioning her to follow me to the balcony. She followed, squeezing through the tight crowds of dancing people. Sebastian stood there, greeting is with a smile. "You look beautiful, Miss Yumamura." "Thank you, Sebastian." Looking over the railing, I scanned through the crowds. "Is there this many people in the royal families?" Sebastian nodded. Alice walked up next to me, smiling that shy smile as my cheeks went hot. I stood up straight, taking her hands in my own. "Will you dance with me?" At first she was suprised, but then she giggles. "Of course!"
Finding an open spot on the dance floor, I took her hand, placing my other neatly on her waist as she held my shoulder. We swayed gently to the music, never breaking eye contact with each other. The song was slow, which matched our pace evenly. I twirled her around, causing her to lightly giggle and grasp my hand tighter. I pulled her closer to me, our bodies touching as a hint of red spread on her cheeks. Smiling slightly, I decided it was time to tell her. "Alice, over these past few years it may have seemed as if I have forgotten you. I never stopped thinking about you...I love you..." She gasped softly, her cheeks turning a darker shade of red. "I-I loved you all this time, Ciel. I'm so happy you feel the same way..." she smiles and I pull her closer, our noses touching gently. I could feel the heat radiating from the blush on her face, making me chuckle. I placed my hand on the back of her head, pulling her to meet my lips in a gentle kiss. She responded immediately, hugging me while my hands smoothed down to the base of her neck. The kiss was sweet; it tasted like strawberries. I could hear people aweing, as well as Elizabeth storming out of the mansion in fury. We pulled away slowly, letting our breath catch up with us, as she smiles at me. "Ciel..." All I wanted to do was pull her closer.
